Meditation by Buddy

Previously I have wondered whether my son’s (age 6) frequent statements regarding “when we get rich. . .” were affirmations. Today I found him lying on the floor by the sliding glass door, covered with his favorite blanket and gazing up into the leaves of the oak tree. I asked if he was okay and he quietly said to me, “I just have so many good memories, I want to lay here and think about them.” He continued to lay there another 10 or 15 minutes or so and then jumped up and began to play.

Wow. Maybe that’s what meditation is supposed to be. Just get your blankie and remember all the good things. I am starting to think my “all boy” boy, may be a natural born guru.

I’ll skip the blankie, but am off to find a nice sunny spot.

Namaste
